Advanced Dental Technology
We use some of the most sophisticated technology to help us reach a precise diagnosis, including digital radiographs and digital imaging. A proper diagnosis paired with a personalized treatment plan enable us to achieve high rates of success with our patients.
Digital Bite Analysis
Many patients come to us with excessive tooth wear, facial pain, broken restorations or headaches. Often times, these issues are caused or made words by malocclusion – also known as a “bad bite”. To more easily identify these issues, Dr. Cain has incorporated the T-Scan®, which is a digital bite analysis device that measures both the timing and force of the bite. Using a small, hand-held device, Dr. Cain can capture a digital map of your bite and look for areas of imbalance.
The T-Scan is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and TMJ disorders, as well as case planning for restorative and cosmetic dentistry, to ensure that restorations fit well and do not cause issues with the balance of the bite.
We are also excited to offer the most advanced radiography technology in our Knoxville dental office with the Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG 3D. This machine captures incredible 2D, 3D and panoramic images in a single scan. Not only are digital x-rays important as a diagnostic tool, they are an essential component for our restorative dentistry treatment plans. With the 3D technology, Dr. Cain can plan the placement of dental implants with the highest levels of precision.
